TfxEcho is an echo effect AudioUnit Extension plugin that utilizes delay lines inspired by BBD (bucket brigade device) technology found in traditional analog delay units renowned for their warm and dark sound signature. The plugin employs a fixed-length buffer and artificial clock to sample the input signal at a variable sampling rate, enabling adjustments in delay time to yield pitch modulation effects akin to BBD delay units.
While the delay line draws inspiration from BBD technology, it does not seek to emulate any specific BBD model. Unlike conventional BBD-based delay units with limited frequency ranges, TfxEcho boasts a broader capability, capturing signals at frequencies up to approximately 22 kHz.
